The report is often all the board sees
The board rarely sees your Excel. They don't see your Notion page. They see a PDF that appears in the meeting folder the day before. That report is your product — regardless of how well you did the actual analysis.
RiskNote generates a report that looks serious without you designing anything. Cover page with risk matrix, summary, full register, and a straight disclosure section about AI involvement. No Excel graphics from 2004.
What's in the report
Cover page with risk matrix
The first page shows the 5x5 matrix in vector graphics, report date, risk note name, and author. The board sees the picture first — as it should be.
Top-risk summary
Top-five risks sorted by severity. Each row shows title, likelihood × consequence, and a short description. The board grasps the situation in 30 seconds.
Full risk register
A table view of every risk, its status (proposed / accepted / rejected), and — when AI is involved — an ”AI” badge per EU AI Act Art. 50. Transparency built in.
AI disclosure on cover and footer
Every report containing AI-generated risks has clear labelling. Model ID, date, and count of AI-generated rows. The auditor's question gets answered before it's asked.
ISO 31000 reference in the footer
The report states that the risk assessment was conducted following ISO 31000:2018. No false certification — just an honest reference to the process followed.
From click to PDF
1. Finalise your risk analysis
Make sure every risk has likelihood and consequence set. If you have AI suggestions still in ”proposed” state, decide whether to accept or reject first.
2. Click ”Export PDF”
The report is generated server-side (LaTeX-quality, not browser-printing). You get a file in a few seconds.
3. Send, print, archive
The PDF is fully portable. Email to the board, print A4, upload to your DMS. The formatting is identical across every channel.
Included in every plan
PDF export is a core feature included in all plans including the 7-day free trial. No volume limit. Custom branding (logo, colours) is planned for V1.1.
PDF report FAQ
Can I use my own logo and colours?
Planned for V1.1 (June 2026). Today the report uses RiskNote's standard template with a discreet footer reading ”Generated by RiskNote”.
Can I export to Word or Excel instead?
CSV export for the register is planned for V1.1. Word export isn't planned — most boards prefer PDF for immutability and read-only protection.
Is the PDF searchable and copyable?
Yes. Report text is real text (not images), so you can search, highlight, and copy as with any PDF. Tables are structured for accessibility.
